Tuesday, April 15th, 2008Audi Sport versions planned for the TT and R8
For several weeks have been several unofficial news on the work that the German firm Audi has been developing with regard to introducing new variants of its TT models and R8, taking greater emphasis on the RS. Thus, according to these speculations TT-RS should accommodate a five-cylinder turbo roughly about 350 hp, while the R8 will receive two new engines: a TDI V8 and V10 gasoline.
On the other hand, and following information, Audi Sport also released versions of both models, an idea already executed in 2005 with very limited TT Quattro Sport. Next year could see again this philosophy applied in the sports of the house. Particularly in the case of the R8 we would be talking about a slight increase in power and equipping series. Less insulation and use unabashedly carbon fibre will help reduce vehicle weight by about 100 kg, making possible a 0 to 100 less than 4 seconds. The suspensions also would be hardened manner.
But to take things calmly that Audi has not formalized this information, but nothing is being expectant.
